Coronation Day
We held our very own Coronation Day here at Hengist Field Care Home as part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.
Everyone looked very regal and had such fun dressing up with our crown, cloak, royal orb and sceptre, and speaking with a posh accent!
It was very hard to pick a king or queen, so everyone was coronated and crowned – so we have many kings and queens at Hengist Field now!
What a great day of smiles and laughter, finished off with refreshments, shortbread crowns and royal cupcakes. Perfect!
D-Day karaoke
On Monday 6 June we invited Candy and her Karaoke into our Home to finish off our celebrations for the Jubilee, but also remember D-Day and our fallen and veteran heroes.
It was such a fun afternoon with a great selection of songs including We’ll Meet Again, Pretty Woman, Love Me Tender, Tie a Yellow Ribbon, Okey Cokey, Sweet Caroline and many more classics!
Nobody wanted the singing to stop or the afternoon to end, so Candy sang some extra songs which everyone loved and cheered! Fantastic!
