Here at Hengist Field Care Home we really enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year – the year of the Tiger.
Our Recreation and Well-Being Team had a fun time going around visiting everyone with their decorated trolley.
They had Chinese music playing and Chinese-themed new year props, including hats, masks and Chinese dragons, which bought lots of smiles and laughs. Even our Maintenance Men joined in the occasion!
Everyone enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of Chinese food tasting; a delicious assortment of Chinese cuisine including:
- Sweet n sour chicken
- Egg fried rice
- Sesame prawn toast
- Sweet n sour wontons
- Aromatic shredded duck
- Tempura king prawns
- Egg noodles and chow main
- Spring rolls, hoisin duck rolls and sweet chilli dip
And of course fortune cookies, which were enjoyed by everyone including our staff.
