Our residents at Hengist Field Care Home enjoyed an afternoon of making cheese straws and chocolate chip pastries this week.
Some of our ladies and gents came into our Activities Room, where we enjoyed music playing in the background and singing along whilst we worked!
We rolled out the pastry, adding cheese (tested by residents!) or chocolate chips (we tested those too of course!), then designed our shapes. Some residents who were in their rooms also joined in using lap trays.
The finished goodies were baked and our residents tucked into them with their afternoon cuppa – delicious!
A lovely afternoon, full of fun and laughter.
