On Monday 15 November, we wished Kay Smith our Head Chef and Marion Judd our Induction and Training Facilitator a ‘Happy 10th anniversary’, as both of these lovely ladies have worked at Hengist Field Care Home since day one (10 years to the day on 15th!).
Kay and Marion helped put up curtains, make beds and assisted the builders with snagging, alongside Glenda Osmotherly, in those first weeks. They used walkie talkies to communicate from different floors, and after two weeks of induction and mandatory training, our first three residents arrived at Hengist Field.
On Monday, everyone celebrated their 10 year achievement and gathered in our Cherry lounge, with a spread of nibbles, a lovely cake, balloons and banners.
Our Home Manager Neli presented Kay and Marion with a certificate, chocolates, flowers, bubbly and a gift card in recognition of their commitment and hard work.
