On Monday 18 January we had a fun-filled day with our residents at Hengist Field Care Home making bird feeders for our garden.
Our ladies and gents tried two different designs. Some made theirs using a toilet roll which they spread with peanut butter and then covered in bird seed. Others used pipe cleaners to thread breakfast cereal and fruit onto, before tying the ends together.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the activity – even getting messy with the peanut butter and licking their fingers!
The finished bird feeders with be fantastic in our garden and no doubt attract lots of hungry birds.
